Vulnerable Texas Democrats

Dallas Morning News:

...

Still, in the afterglow of Massachusetts, the National Republican Congressional Committee whacked dozens of Democratic incumbents as Obama/Pelosi "lap dogs" – including three Texans, Reps. Chet Edwards of Waco, Ciro Rodriguez of San Antonio, and Henry Cuellar of Laredo.

If they can't beat Edwards, in particular, this year, they probably never can. His district is by far the most Republican represented by a Democrat – not just in Texas, but across the country.

...

Edwards is pretty wily. He also got permission from Pelosi to vote against the health care bill after he dodged Tea Party advocates and Town Hall voters for weeks. There are several Republicans vying to run against him and Ciro Rodriguez has also drawn opposition. I do not have a good feel for Cuellar's vulnerabilities.
