Ayla Brown gets lots of interest after dad says she is 'available'

Times:

Scott Brown’s daughter Ayla has been inundated with messages from men after her father’s announcement in his Massachusetts Senate seat victory speech that she was “available”.

The 21-year-old singer and Boston College student said that she had tightened the privacy settings on her Facebook profile after she was flooded with friend requests. “I had 1,568 friend requests and 300 inbox messages — mostly from men,” she said. “And I got a whole lot of business cards.”

Ayla is no stranger to being in the public eye. She made it to the final 16 of the American Idol TV talent contest with a rendition of Christine Aguilera’s Reflections. Because of the media attention surrounding her father’s victory to take Edward Kennedy’s old Senate seat, she has moved forward the release date of her third album, Circles, to Tuesday.

But her father’s unscripted comments took her by surprise. The newly elected Senator made TV viewers cringe on Tuesday when he introduced his two daughters in his victory speech, declaring “yes, they’re both available”. He quickly corrected himself that Arianna, 19, a pre-med student at Syracuse University whose boyfriend was on stage, was not available, but that Ayla was.

“My jaw dropped,” Ayla said. “I was like, that definitely wasn’t in the script!”

She added: “I definitely had a talk with my Dad.”

...

Ayla, who confirmed that she is single, told the New York Post: “I’m not looking for Brad Pitt. Just someone who treats me well and is respectful to me and my family.”

She would be quite a catch. She is attractive and talented as both a singer and an athlete. I suspect her singing career also got quite a boost from the notice she got since her father's election.
