That is a lot of dead reporters

From the NY Times:

A.P.’s Death Toll for Iraq War Reaches 4,000

Of course they must be talking about troop casualties some of which are not war related. And, to put it in perspective, during an equivalent five year period under the Clinton administration there were actually more troops who died, making the Iraq war one of the least costly in history. What I really object to the the numerology of the media death watch as though three zeros on the end of the number is of some special significance.
