Rep. "So What" takes over investigations in the House
Henry Waxman whose response to Clinton administration problems was "So What" says it is time for oversight of the Bush administration.
The Democratic congressman who will investigate the Bush administration's running of the government says there are so many areas of possible wrongdoing that his biggest problem will be deciding which ones to pursue. You can be sure that the mainstream media will not say "so what" when Waxman fires up his obstruction by investigation efforts. In fact it will actively coordinate attacks with him. Rep. "So what" is back with the gavel ready to bang on Republicans and the media is ready to be his compliant PR tool. Somehow, I just expect bad faith from both at this point.
There's the response to Hurricane Katrina, government contracting in Iraq and on homeland security, political interference in regulatory decisions by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Food and Drug Administration, and accusations of war profiteering, Rep. Henry A. Waxman, California Democrat, told the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
"I'm going to have an interesting time because the Government Reform Committee has jurisdiction over everything," Mr. Waxman said yesterday, three days after his party's retaking of Congress put him in line to be chairman of the panel. "The most difficult thing will be to pick and choose."
