The bogus crime claims in New Orleans after the flood

Remember all those rapes and murders that supposedly took place in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina? By and large, according to a new report, they didn't happen.

According to Orleans Parish District Attorney Eddie Jordan, "authorities have only confirmed four murders in the entire city in the aftermath of Katrina — making it a typical week in a city that anticipated more than 200 homicides this year."

Officials now say there were only six deaths inside the Superdome. Of those, "four died of natural causes, one overdosed and another jumped to his death in an apparent suicide." No murders.

At the Convention Center, four bodies have been recovered. Only one of the four deaths appears to have resulted from murder.

An earlier report said that none of the reported rapes in the Superdome and the Convention Center have been substantiated.

Apparently the hysterical claims of crime were made to hurry hekp to the area. This was being done while Louisiana Homeland Security personel were preventing Red Cross and the Salvation Army from bringing food wter and sanitation packages. While this local standoff was taking place FEMA was being blamed for a lack of response. The whole charade was as bogus as Broussards story about a friends mother dying because FEMA didn't get there quick enough. When caught in his lie he accuses anyone who questions it of nitpicking someones death. No, Broussard you were using the old woman's death as a bogus political prop. Broussard at least proves that some Louisiana politicians have no shame.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit.
