Some think Saddam planned to lose
NY Times:
"American intelligence agencies have found increasing evidence that the broad outlines of the guerrilla campaign being waged against American forces in Iraq were laid down before the war by the Iraqi Intelligence Service, government officials said Friday.
"...Some government officials cautioned that the idea that the insurgency had been planned by elements of Saddam Hussein's government before the American invasion of Iraq remained only a leading theory. In public remarks on Thursday, Gen. John P. Abizaid, the top American commander in the Middle East, said the idea that Mr. Hussein planned the insurgency was 'beyond my imagination.'"
Let see, I can't defeat the US with my huge army with all its heavy equipment, but I can with 5,000 men doing a little bombing here and there and popping off a few morter rounds now and then. Yeah, thats a plan.
