Administration lies about the border crisis it created

 Mike Miller:

Let's get this out of the way, right up front. Joe Biden, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and Democat lawmakers have been flat-out lying to the American people about the Biden Border Crisis for three years.

No, the border isn't "secure." Yes, the border is virtually wide open. And, no, Joe Biden and his disastrous administration not only haven't done a damn thing to stop the never-ending surge; they haven't had — and still don't have—any intention of doing so.

On Friday, Biden took the lying to a whole new level of crazy — make that a bizarre level of lying — ostensibly telling a White House gathering of mayors that he wants to "solve the problem."

Laughably, it was what Biden said about Republican lawmakers, who continue the outcry over his intentionally caused crisis, that stole his silly show. (Emphasis, mine.)

I want to talk about another top issue: The border. I love how [when my TV is] turned on and [I see that] “Biden is for free and open border, tear down [the wall], everybody come, no restrictions.” It used to be a bipartisan issue in this country. It should be one again.

Please. 2016 presidential candidate Joe Biden pledged, throughout his basement campaign, to all but install northbound-only people movers along the southern border, and welcome, with open arms, all who wanted to make the trek.

In Friday's speech, Biden then went with one of his infamous "I've been clear from the beginning" lies.

I’ve been clear from the very beginning: The [immigration] system is broken. My first day in office, I sent Congress a comprehensive plan on immigration reform [and amnesty]. My friends on the other side have done nothing with it. Over and over, I’ve asked for resources to step up action with the border.

In October, I asked Congress for funding that would add … 22,000 additional border agents and officers, hundreds of new immigration judges to make the judgments on the spot, new detection equipment to stop fentanyl from coming into the country. And, by the way, I’ve worked with China and Mexico to slow the flow of fentanyl in the United States. As I speak, it is way down.

Perhaps there are a few half-truths, above, but Biden's illogical insistence that his border crisis is an "all or nothing" proposition is downright insulting.

Memo to Joe: Stop the out-of-control, illegal-alien assault on this country  — NOW — and then attempt to negotiate a deal with Republican lawmakers to fix the "broken" system.

How about enforcing existing federal immigration law in the meantime, Joe?

...

All you have to do is look at the number of illegal crossings now and compare it with those when Trump was president.  In fact, Biden campaigned on reversing the Trump policies that were working to limit illegal crossings.  Illegal immigration is one of the reasons Biden is seen as one of the worst presidents in history.  Biden is only talking about the border now because the polling shows a huge majority of voters who oppose his open borders policies.
