Biden pushing abortion extremism agenda

Anti-abortion advocates are gearing up to fight President Joe Biden’s pledge to secure access to abortion-inducing medication by exercising his federal authority over states that have restrictions in place.

Biden signed an executive order Friday aimed at bolstering access to abortion now that the Supreme Court ruled in the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization that the Constitution does not guarantee the right to abortion. One of his orders vaguely directed the Department of Health and Human Services to “protect and expand access to abortion care, including access to medication that the [Food and Drug Administration] approved as safe and effective over twenty years ago,” according to a White House summary.

This looks like a fight he will lose if the states rebel and he has to go to the courts to enforce it.  The Supreme Court has ruled that there is no federal right to abortion and that it is up to the states whether it will be legal within those states.  Some will make it legal and some will not.  Where he might have some success might be if a state tried to stop someone from going to another state for an abortion.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
