The inept control of Covid emergency spending

Fraud and identity theft cases related to the $6 trillion in emergency coronavirus spending have continued to pile up. Some watchdogs wonder whether they will be able to recover all that was taken.
As a former prosecutor of fraud cases, the task of chasing down what happened to $6 trillion in "emergency spending" looks overwhelming.  I suspect they will start with the biggest cases and work their way down.  But on amounts of this scale, it could take a lifetime to catch all the crooks.
