Congressional Democrats trying to cover-up Afghan fiasco

 Brandon Morris:

Democrats Are Trying to Memory Hole Afghanistan Already, but Dan Crenshaw Isn't Having It

...

Appearing on Fox and Friends, the former Navy Seal turned Representative explained that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat underlings are looking to push themselves away from any kind of accountability for what happened in Afghanistan, an event that the lives of 13 of our service members, billions of dollars in weaponry, abandonment of contract animals, and on top of all of that, Americans and allies are still there trying to get home.

The Democrats want this to go away so badly that they won’t allow votes on something as simple as not recognizing a terrorist group and coming up with a plan for getting our people out of Afghanistan:

Leading up to this, we’ve tried everything we could. We tried to get the Biden administration to not engage in such a silly plan, right? We tried to prevent this from happening. That didn’t work. As they followed through with it, we tried to get them to fix it. You know, Republicans were on the House floor yesterday asking for unanimous consent that we vote on a bill that would simply demand that the administration give us a plan for getting Americans out, getting our equipment out, and not recognize the Taliban. There was nothing partisan about that at all. But Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats refused to even allow a vote on it.

They want no accountability whatsoever. They don’t even want to fix the problem or admit that there is a problem. So now we’re moving into the accountability phase. That’s going to be difficult because we’re in the minority, Democrats in the majority. They might have some show hearings, but they really have no intention, as they’ve already shown, of holding this administration accountable.

According to other reports, Pelosi won’t even allow the names of the 13 service members who were killed in Kabul to be read on the House floor.

Dan Crenshaw has been a prominent spokesman for resisting Taliban rule in Afghanistan.  He has had first-hand experience with them.
