Poll shows border fiasco hurting Biden administration
Despite the activist media’s constant attempts to keep President Joe Biden’s foibles hidden like the Wizard behind the curtain, the American public can clearly see how badly he is handling the migrant crisis he created. Yet another poll revealed that the majority of Americans do not approve of the president’s approach to immigration.
A Washington Post/ABC News poll conducted on June 30th revealed that 51 percent of respondents disapprove of the Biden administration’s handling of the crisis. Only 33 percent believe he is doing a decent job.
This, and other polls, come amid widespread concern over the situation at the southern border, which has seen record numbers of migrants and unaccompanied minors attempting to gain entry into the United States, legally and illegally. The president’s decision to reverse most of former President Donald Trump’s policies has created a situation in which U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has been stretched thin as it struggles to handle the massive influx of migrants.
To make matters worse, the Biden administration has brought about a return to the “Catch and Release” policy, which has resulted in many migrant families being dropped off in border towns. A disturbing number of these individuals were not even given a court date to have their cases adjudicated. The White House’s mishandling of the immigration issue has also empowered Mexican drug cartels, who are raking in the cash through human smuggling, drug trafficking, and other nefarious activities.
...
They would have to be willfully blind not to see what a disaster Biden has created on the border. Border residents many of whom are Hispanics are living that disaster every day now. It is one reason why many of those border residents are now voting for Republicans.
