The NY Times a hostile environment for Trump news

 Debra Heine:

A Justice Department reporter for the New York Times on Tuesday called the 74 million Americans who voted for former president Donald Trump “national security threats” who are “enemies of the state.”

In a series of tweets, DOJ reporter Katie Benner said the Biden Regime’s contention that former president Donald Trump and his supporters pose a national security threat creates an “essential natsec dilemma” because Americans generally don’t believe that the state should be using its awesome powers against political enemies.

“Today’s #January6thSelectCommittee underscores the America’s current, essential natsec dilemma: Work to combat legitimate national security threats now entails calling a politician’s supporters enemies of the state,” Benner tweeted.

She continued: “As Americans, we believe that state power should not be used to work against a political figure or a political party. But what happens if a politician seems to threaten the state? If the politician continues to do so out of office and his entire party supports that threat?”

Benner went on to claim that this “dilemma” has been vexing the U.S. Intelligence Community since the Russia hoax.

“This dilemma was unresolved by the Russia probe and 2 impeachments. With many Republicans denying the reality of the Jan. 6 attack, I doubt the #January6thCommittee will resolve it either. That leaves it up to voters, making even more essential free, fair access to the polls,” Benner tweeted.
...

The ominous tweets came as the Democrats’ partisan January 6 “inquiry”—which is designed to frame Trump supporters as domestic terrorists—was underway.

Benner’s remarks spurred shock and outrage from Twitter users on both the left and right.

“Absolutely amazing: the New York Times’ Justice Department reporter says the US faces an “essential natsec dilemma”: namely, that Trump supporters are “enemies of the state” and all of the GOP is a threat to the State. This is a reporter — not an op-ed writer — saying this,” tweeted left-wing journalist Greg Greenwald.

What should be noted is that she is probably reflecting what Democrats are telling her.  We now have a Democrat party and its media apparatus that sees voters who disagree with them as enemies of the state.  This is clearly an unhealthy attitude.  American voters should send them a message by voting agianst every Democrat on the ballot.
