Democrats trying to destroy US energy and make us dependent on Chicoms

House Democrats are ramming a bill through Congress that could be a boon to China's green energy sector.

The INVEST in America Act, a bill sponsored by House Transportation Committee chairman Peter DeFazio (D., Ore.), could kick millions of dollars to Chinese industry by promoting "green" technologies, a rapidly developing sector of China's economy. The act gives incentives to businesses that move away from gas-powered engines and includes measures to implement a nationwide network of electric-charging materials, but it lacks provisions that those materials will not be made with Chinese slave labor.

Committee Democrats gutted those safeguards, which would have ensured that electric vehicle material procurement would occur in the United States. China possesses the largest stockpile of rare earth minerals used in electric car batteries in the world. In 2018, Beijing provided some 80 percent of the United States's rare earth imports. Experts say China's domination of the rare earth supply chain is a major challenge as the Communist Party seeks ways to defeat the United States.

House Transportation Committee ranking member Sam Graves (R., Mo.) told the Washington Free Beacon that Democrats are "selling out to China" by pushing the bill forward.

BTW, the Chicoms are building coal-fired electrical plants as fast as they can.  Making the US dependent on Chicom's alternative energy is beyond ridiculous.  It is one of the least dependable forms of energy as California has already proved with its reliance on wind and solar energy.  California is also telling those with electric cars not to charge them because of a shortage of electricity.   The Democrats in California and Washington seem oblivious as to how ridiculous this is.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
