Iran not handling coronavirus well

Reuters:
The fast-spreading coronavirus has killed at least 210 people across Iran, the BBC’s Persian service reported on Friday, citing hospital sources, far more than reported by the Health Ministry which put the number at 34.

Ministry spokesman Kianush Jahanpur rejected the BBC report in a tweet. Even at 34, Iran has had the highest death rate from the outbreak outside China.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the United States had offered to help with the coronavirus response in Iran, raising doubts about Tehran’s willingness to share information.

Iran said the offer was ridiculous.

The Iranian government is bitter about the pressure campaign to get them to drop their nuclear weapons program.  Several high ranking members of the government have come down with the virus.  The mullah's government does not appear to be on top of the problem so far.
