Philippines Muslim terrorist latch on to ISIS losers

In the lawless jungles and seas of the southern Philippines, militants launch deadly attacks under the black flag of the Islamic State.
A few years ago they were latching onto al Qaida.  Muslims in the Philippines have a long history of terrorism and rebellion.   The military sidearm used from the early 1900s through the Vietnam war was developed to deal with the fanatics.  I carried one as XO of a rifle company in Northern I Corps. The M1911 pistol has a storied history.
