U.S. Fears Data Hacked by Chinese Could Identify Spies

The potential exposure of American intelligence officers could prevent a large number of them from being posted abroad again.
They, of course, wanted to identify US spies, but they were probably also looking for Chinese collaborators with the US.   Those are the people likely to disappear first and it will also make it harder for the US to recruit Chinese to gain information about the Chicom operations.
