Obama's desperate pander to Hispanics

Washington Post:

U.S. to stop deporting some illigal immigrants who came as kids

He knows they are not energize to support him.  Romney is making a argument that Obama's economic policies have harmed Hispanic businesses and Obama responds with a proposal that does not address the most important issue to Hispanics.  Appealing to tribalism is not a response to the economic fact that impact Hispanic voters.  Since illegals are not supposed to vote this is just another meaningless play to emotions.

Republicans argue that the Obama policy violates his oath of office.
...Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said the change marks "a breach of faith with the American people."
“This huge policy shift has horrible consequences for unemployed Americans looking for jobs and violates President Obama’s oath to uphold the laws of this land," Smith said in a statement.
“How can the administration justify allowing illegal immigrants to work in the U.S. when millions of Americans are unemployed?” he added. “President Obama and his administration once again have put partisan politics and illegal immigrants ahead of the rule of law and the American people.”...
I don't think Obama has a good answer to those questions.
