The Goliad massacre 175 years ago

The San Antonio Express-News compares the killing of surrendered prisoners at Goliad to the no quarter battle of the Alamo.  It turned out to be a tactical mistake by Santa Anna which enraged the Texans who wound up defeating him at San Jacinta.  The Texans did not make the same mistake.

Probably more people remember the Alamo than remember Goliad, but both were important to Texas winning independence from Mexico.
