Everybody's talking about Sarah Palin

Tony Blankley says "politicians and political journalists don't waste energy on political corpses." I think they explains why the media and the politicians are so fascinated with Sarah Palin's latest moves.

He noted that while the pundits were saying how she was burying her announcement on a Friday of a three day weekend, there they were interrupting the previously nonstop coverage of Michael Jackson talking about her future or lack there of at length.

It all reminded me of this Harry Nilsson song from Midnight Cowboy.

Everybody's talking at me.
I don't hear a word they're saying,
Only the echoes of my mind.
People stopping staring,
I can't see their faces,
Only the shadows of their eyes.

I'm going where the sun keeps shining
Thru' the pouring rain,
Going where the weather suits my clothes,
Backing off of the North East wind,
Sailing on summer breeze
And skipping over the ocean like a stone.
