Intercept of terrorist communication uncovers plot to kill Golda Mier in New York
The AP is reporting that the NSA intercepted communications from Black September terrorist who planted bombs meant to kill the Israeli Prime Minister in 1973. The new reporting is tied to the release of one of the terrorist after serving only half of his sentence. Khalid Al-Jawary placed the bombs which failed to detonate. Two of the cars rigged to explode had already been removed to the impound lot before they were to go off and a third bomb was found at an El-Al cargo terminal and defused by the NYPD bomb squad.
I wonder if liberals will insist on throwing out the conviction because the NSA did not get a warrant for intercepting it. In 1973 the hated Richard Nixon was still President. You know how they thought he was always up to know good witht he intelligence agencies which they later gutted under the Church commission.
Terrorist rights are evidently not a new thing for Democrats.
BTW, the intercepted communication was believed to be from the Iraq UN mission in New York to the Foreign Ministry in Baghdad where it was relayed to the PLO. That would be the same PLO that became the Palestinian Authority under Arafat.
