Drones to patrol border with Canada

Air Force Times:

Unmanned drone aircraft based at Grand Forks Air Force Base are set to start patrolling the Canadian border.

...

The Predator drone can detect a moving person from 7 miles away. Information gathered by the drones will be transmitted back to operators, who will contact border agents.
The force multiplier effect of the drones is coming to the aid of the border agents. There are miles of unprotected border to watch and the UAV can be pretty good at that. I suspect there are some already on the Mexican border.
