Hamas agrees to one week ceasefire
The Jerusalem Post notes:Hamas and other Palestinian factions in Gaza say they will give Israel a one-week ceasefire starting Sunday.
An Islamic Jihad official in Gaza confirmed in a phone call to FOX News that Hamas and all the Palestinian factions have agreed on a cease-fire. Hamas is giving Israel one week to pull out the troops out of Gaza.
A senior Hamas official also said the group's wing in Syria agreed to a weeklong cease-fire.
Hamas' Syrian-based deputy leader, speaking for the militant Palestinian factions, said on Syrian television that the cease-fire will give Israel time to withdraw and open all the border crossings to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.

In addition, Israel said it would not open any border crossings until all hostilities have ceased.
Shortly after the Hamas declaration, the spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office reaffirmed Israel's position and expressed hope that the calm would be maintained for the long-term.
"If in fact we see a cessation of Hamas activity towards Israel, then we could see a long-term ceasefire," Mark Regev told Sky News.
He added that Israel "clearly does not want to" stay in Gaza, and that Israel would do everything it could to maintain the calm.
