Israel wont lift embargo before getting kindapped soldier

Haaretz:

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell Wednesday afternoon that the border crossings into the Gaza Strip will not reopen permanently unless the issue of captive Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit is resolved.

...
Hamas's primary objective in starting the war was to get the embargo lifted and open the crossings into Israel. They still have not obtained that objective and they will probably not until Shalit is freed. The death cult remains a loser in this war.
