Say what?

From an AP story on "climate change" that sounds like it was written by Chicken Little:

...

Mother Nature, of course, is oblivious to the federal government's machinations. Ironically, 2008 is on pace to be a slightly cooler year in a steadily rising temperature trend line. Experts say it's thanks to a La Nina weather variation. While skeptics are already using it as evidence of some kind of cooling trend, it actually illustrates how fast the world is warming.

...
Even when the evidence contradicts the warming theory it is taken as evidence that it is warming even more. The story dips back to the Clinton years for evidence of warming because the Bush years do not give them the baseline they are looking for. It also overlooks the warming of the 1930s which was more than the recent warming. When I see this kind of hysteria masquerading as news it makes me more skeptical.
