Making the Ayers attacks in person?

I frankly get the feeling that Obama never had such a conversation since he continued to interact with Ayers and praised his book on his radical education ideas. I don't think Obama disowned Ayers until it was a political problem for him to be associated with him. Obama then threw Ayers under the bus the way he did his other radical friends like Rev. Wright.

Did Obama ever tell Ayers to his face that he did not approve of his terrorist activities.

I have a question for McCain and all the right wing bloggers, why are we talking about Ayers instead of the economy, the war, healthcare, education, etc?
