Syringes stolen from the Health Service were used as components in the car bombs which failed to detonate in London, the Daily Mail can reveal.There is more.
Members of the alleged bomb plot are thought to have taken the equipment from the hospital in Paisley where at least three of the suspects worked.

... Among other developments in the investigation:
...
• Police in Australia believe British-based Islamic extremists were planning to form a "cyber cell" there to direct UK bombing campaigns from the other side of the globe;
• Two of the foreign-born suspects held in Britain had applied to work in Australia but were turned away because of concerns about their credentials;
• One of the suspects is related to a hardline Iraqi cleric who advocates suicide bombings.

Other sources have suggested that the applicants to move to Australia were resubmitted under false names after being rejected. the Aussies apparently spotted the fraud right away and denied the application. This story does raise the question of whether the bombers will also be charged with stealing government property.
The NY Times also suggest that the two main perps may also have been guilty of speeding in their green Jeep.
