6 of 8 suspects in bombing are Docs
Update 2: CBS/AP reports the number of docs is now up to six. More arrest are expected. Search warrants are being executed in several locations in Australian including the hospital where the doctor works.
Update: Sky News now reports that five of the eight suspects arrested are doctors. It says something about socialized medicine, I guess, but more likely it says something about their religious affiliation.

James Taranto notes the growing ranks of terrorist physicians. While it takes some intelligence to become a doctor it does not make you an expert out side your field and all these guys seem to be proof of that point. I guess they did not learn the part about doing no harm.

Earlier, officials said doctors from Iraq and Jordan were among the seven suspects arrested. A witness said police were closing in on the terror network just before attackers rammed the Scottish terminal building.

Three doctors are now being held in connection with the attempted Glasgow terror attack - one is an Iraqi doctor who trained in Baghdad.Dr. Asha was first identified as an Iranian Kurd in a NY Times report last night.
Sky sources named the Iraqi as Bilal Abdulla - he was left relatively unscathed in the incident, pictured being led away from the explosion by police.
He worked at the Royal Alexandra Hospital near Glasgow.
Police blew up a second suspect car outside the hospital on Monday - the first car was detonated on Sunday.
The other man detained at Glasgow airport had severe burns and remains in a critical condition at the Royal Alexandra - he was in the flaming jeep that was driven at one of the airport terminals.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Asha, 26, has been named as a man arrested on the M6 on Saturday night.
The Jordanian was detained with a woman of 27 dressed in traditional Muslim dress, believed to be his wife, on the M6 near Sandbach in Cheshire.
Dr Asha, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, worked at the North Staffordshire Hospital, where police have been searching his office.

According to the British General Medical Council's register, a man named Bilal Talal Abdul Samad Abdulla was registered in 2004 and trained in Baghdad. Staff at Royal Alexandra Hospital said one suspect was a doctor of Middle Eastern or Iraqi origin who worked there.
A second man arrested late Saturday on a highway in central England is Mohammed Jamil Abdelqader Asha, according to a police official who was not authorized to publicly disclose the details and spoke on condition of anonymity.
A Jordanian official said British authorities had contacted the Jordanian Embassy in London to say Asha, who reportedly worked at a hospital in central England, was a possible suspect.

Sources told Sky News that a third man, aged 26, arrested in Liverpool, was a doctor.
He was reported to have worked at Halton Hospital in Cheshire.
A colleague told the Muslim News the doctor may have been detained because he was using the mobile phone and internet account of another man who has left the UK.
Monday's rapid developments continued with three more arrests, taking the number being held to eight.
