The left is still trying to deny the war with al Qaeda in Iraq

Confederate Yankee gathers more data to refute the left's state of denial about al Qaeda in Iraq and our other enemies in Iraq. The left sees sinister motives in the current offensive against al Qaeda elements in Iraq, because they want this to be a sectarian civil war where everyone hates us.

The Democrat surrender monkeys

Don Surber: ... The Democratic Party victory is seen as a victory for the opponents of democracy in the Middle East in general and Iraq in particular. I am not blaming Democrats. I blame the 31 million Americans who have given up after less than 4 years. They may not eat cheese, but they are surrender monkeys. That half of them supported the war when it began is sickening. I can deal with a Robert C. Byrd. He opposed sending our troops into harm’s way. But Jay Rockefeller? John Kerry? Jack Murtha? They and the hundreds of other Democrats who voted for the war only to give up later are throwing away lives of our Iraqi allies who were foolish enough to trust us when President Bush said we were in Iraq to stay. Now they are running for cover. ... The Democratic “peace plan” will not bring peace to anyone.
