The Islamic insurgency in the Philippines

Wretchard at the Belmont Club has the lengthy history of the Islamic religious bigots war against the Spanish, Americans and Philippines. It can give you and understanding of our enemies in the Muslim world. As you read the history, you know that the war will have interludes where the defeated Muslims will refrain from attack while they attempt to rebuild for the next. I suspect that is what we will be facing for as long as we allow them to share the same real estate with Christians. The successes have been in places where they have been removed. Coexistence with Islamic religious bigots has a bloody history in every country that borders them. There are obvious examples of areas where we are not at war with Muslims, but that is because they don't have any significant Christian or Jewish population. That being said, the history in the Philippines shows that they can be defeated.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ... Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
