Fox News crew released after "converting" to hideous religion

Washington Post:

Two Fox Television journalists held for 13 days in the Gaza Strip were released Sunday after they were shown on a videotape saying they converted to Islam.

The two journalists, American Steve Centanni, 60, and New Zealand cameraman Olaf Wiig, 36, "have liberated themselves" by converting to Islam, according to the statement accompanying a videotape from a group calling itself the Holy Jihad Brigades.

Gaza journalists confirmed that Centanni and Wiig arrived at a hotel in Gaza shortly after noon local time.

Separately, an Egyptian newspaper reported that a deal was close for a prisoner exchange that would release two Israeli soldiers whose abduction had sparked the 33-day war in south Lebanon.

The Egyptian Al-Ahram newspaper said the deal was being brokered through Germany and would result in the prisoner swap within weeks. Israeli officials declined to comment on the report.

The Fox News deal reminds you of the hideous truth about the people we are fighting and what they really want. Is there any other religion in the world that uses kidnapping to get "converts"? It just reminds us that making people say ridiculous things is what these thugs did with Jill Carroll and others. They are no better than the Nork brainwashers who did similar things with captives.

Update: This is from the Fox News story on the release:

...

Both of the men were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint, Centanni said.

"We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint," Centanni told FOX News. "Don't get me wrong here. I have the highest respect for Islam, and I learned a lot of good things about it, but it was something we felt we had to do because they had the guns, and we didn't know what the hell was going on."

...

This was not a conversion. It was coersion. It tells you alot about what the enemy would like to do to all of us and why we must resist this evil.

Wretchard and the Bee Gees nail it. Photographic evidence provided. Go to the bottom of the post. Michelle Malkin has beaucoup links to posts on the release as well as more pixs.
