Venezuela has been a poorly run country under Maduro. Any attack on Venezuela by the US would be a combined arms operation with Marines supported by the Navy and Air Force. The operation would be to free the Venezuelan people from the misrule of Maduro. The main target of any such attacks would be the illegal cartels.
