Fallout continues for Kamala Harris

Democratic megadonor John Morgan has called for Vice President Kamala Harris to end her political career, citing her lavish campaign spending during her brief 2024 presidential bid. Morgan, speaking on *CUOMO* Monday, argued that Harris’ financial mismanagement and poor performance in the race demonstrated that she has no future in politics.

According to reports, the Harris campaign and the Democratic Party spent nearly $1.5 billion during her short-lived presidential run, which she launched on July 21. Morgan was blunt in his assessment of the situation. “A lot of people got rich on the back of donors trying to stop Trump. And I think this disqualifies her forever. Forever. If you can’t run a campaign, you can’t run America. And that would be the argument just day one. So it was terrible,” he told host Chris Cuomo.

Despite Harris’ poor performance, Morgan acknowledged her debate performance, stating, “I think she did a good job in the debate. I think she did as good a job as you could hope for in a short period of time.” However, he emphasized that he had predicted her loss from the outset.

I disagree with Morgan about Harris's debate performance. She was barely functional. She is just not good on her feet, which is why she avoided normal contact with reporters. She managed to spend more than four times what Trump did on her campaign and still lost convincingly.  A good candidate would have spent less and done better in a debate.  She was also somewhat hampered by Having to defend Biden's record which included high inflation and wars in Europe and the Middle East.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ... Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.
