Where was the Secret Service during the raid on Trump's house?

Trump confirms FBI ‘raided and occupied’ his Florida home, Mar-a-Lago

“After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.”

FBI agents were reportedly searching for classified documents that Trump brought with him from the White House to Mar-a-Lago after his presidency ended. The National Archives and Records Administration said it had found classified material in 15 boxes at the residence and alerted the FBI.

Trump called the raid a politically motivated move by Democrats who don’t want him to run again in 2024.

“It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024,” he wrote.

The raid comes as the Justice Department is examining the actions of Trump in its criminal investigation of efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Trump also compared the FBI search to “an assault [that] could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries” and also to the Watergate scandal.

The raid appears typical of the politicized FBI and DOJ under Biden and Merritt Garland.   There have been instances of what looks like abuse of power against former Trump associates.  We need an election that will result in serious oversight of both the FBI and DOJ.  Isn't the Secret Service supposed to protect the President and his property?

Alan Dershowitz says the raid was improper.

“The raid is supposed to be a last resort,” he said. “But this administration has used the weaponization of the justice system against its political enemies. It has arrested people, denied them bail, put them in handcuffs – used all kinds of techniques that are not usually applied to American citizens. I just hope this raid has the justification. If it doesn’t have the justification, the materials seized in it will be suppressed.”

“This is improper, and this is misconduct,” Dershowitz added. “We have to find out what the facts are. But we have to make sure the shoe fits on the other foot – that we want to make sure what is being one here is something that Democrats would not oppose if it were being done to Democratic operatives, as well.”

Apparently, the Secret Service facilitated the search:

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare
