The Biden's 'great week'?

 Jeb Babbin:

...

The Democrats are shouting from the rooftops that Biden had a great week. Has anyone else noticed that when Biden has a "great" week, it’s a really lousy week for the country?

The "Great Raid," the FBI’s search of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Florida home, was the first time in the history of the United States that a former president’s residence and offices were searched by law enforcement. It made us equivalent to so many tin-pot dictatorships in which current rulers use the country’s politicized justice system to imprison or otherwise punish political opponents. After the Russia-Steele dossier hoax, many people grew to distrust the FBI for its evident political bias. This makes that distrust grow. The Jan. 6 committee and this raid are aimed at only one thing: preventing Trump from running in 2024. They may or may not succeed. One thing is for certain. The Monday raid was another enormous abuse of executive power by Biden and his minions.

Biden’s "Inflation Reduction Act’" passed the Senate early in the week and the House on Friday. The $750 billion — that’s three-quarters of a trillion dollars — in spending includes hiring 87,000 new IRS agents (but not one new Border Patrol agent), a steaming pile of enviro-whacko spending, and putting the government in charge of negotiating drug prices on consumers' behalf. The bill’s name is a sick joke. It will obviously accelerate inflation, not reduce it. We are in a recession caused by excessive, irresponsible government spending by Biden and his congressional allies. The only question is how long the recession will last and how bad it will be. Biden is on the way to being the next Herbert Hoover, the president during the Great Depression.

The only good news is that inflation moderated slightly in July, down to 8.5%, down from 9.1% in June. The Democrats believe Biden should be praised for this, ignoring his complete responsibility for causing inflation in the first place. It’s like their claim that we should be grateful that the price of gasoline has come down about 25 cents in the past month or so — after Biden’s policies caused it to about double since he came to office.

Another week when Biden’s great "success" drags our country down.
