Leftist triggered by Sen. Blackburn's question instead of Judge Jackson's response
...“Have you been watching these Supreme Court…,” says an unidentified voice.
“Let me tell y’all,” says another.
“She is something else,” says one, apparently speaking of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.
“Let me tell y’all,” repeats one.
“I love her,” gushes another about Biden’s SCOTUS nominee.
“Can we just go set Marsha Blackburn on fire?” says one, taking the conversation in a dark direction.
Do I think this lunatic is actually going to go set Blackburn on fire? No, I’m not that melodramatic. Sure, it technically qualifies as a death threat, but I wouldn’t expect this person to act on it.
Still, the thing that sticks out to me the most is just how obscenely ridiculous that entire conversation is. All Blackburn did was ask Jackson to define what a woman is. Why is that an important question? Because a range of new laws protecting women’s sports from male participants are going to end up challenged over the next several years. Eventually, a landmark case is going to end up in front of the Supreme Court.
Given that, you bet your backside that it’s incredibly relevant to understand whether Jackson has some basic understanding of what a woman is because that will be a question at the heart of how she eventually rules on any matter dealing with transgenderism. These school board members (and the left at large) keep scoffing at the question, but they are the ones who pushed society to a point where it has to be asked. It is not Blackburn who is at fault for such lunacy. Rather, the blame lies with those who are so far out in left-field that they can’t see home plate, proclaiming that a man can become a woman just because he says so.
...
It was Jackson's response to the question that led to ridicule and memes galore. Most of us do not need a biologist to determine whether someone is a woman. For those who may be confused a chromosome test will make it clear.
