Europe now willing to accept LNG from Texas and US

 Washington Times:

U.S. President Biden and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced a deal Friday to reduce Europe’s dependence on Russian oil and gas.

As part of the plan, the European Union and the U.S. will form a joint task force aimed at weaning Europe off Russian energy and finding alternatives to liquefied natural gas. The U.S. will also supply Europe with at least 15 billion cubic meters of liquified natural gas.

In addition, the task force will work toward reducing green gas emissions by paring down methane emissions and using clean energy. The task force will be co-chaired by a representative of the White House and a representative from the EU.

The steps announced Friday will help the EU phase out Russian oil and natural gas by the end of the decade.

It is about time.  Trump was trying to get them to do that and they laughed at him.

They should also invite some Texas drillers and frackers to explore energy in Europe.
