The out of touch presidency of Joe Biden

Inflation is at its highest level in decades. Store shelves are empty. The southern border is in chaos. Hundreds of Americans are still trapped in Afghanistan. China just tested a hypersonic missile. Employers can’t find workers to keep their businesses running. No wonder more than 60% say the country is going in the wrong direction.

But don't worry: President Joe Biden has a “National Gender Strategy” that will turn everything around.

The document, released last Friday, is every bit as ridiculous as it sounds. Identifying “gender equity” as a “moral and strategic imperative,” the strategy promises an “intersectional approach” that acknowledges “compounding forms of discrimination” including gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, age, and socioeconomic status. This “first ever National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality” will provide an “aspirational vision” and a “comprehensive agenda” to advance gender equity.

The agenda in the document is, at heart, the same tired laundry list of new government programs that progressives have been trying to force on the nation for decades using other specious justifications.

Democrat liberals are so focused on their goofy agenda that they are ignoring the deep hole their policies are putting the country in.  Instead of focusing on getting out of the hole they focus on make crap like "gender equity."  The fact is that people of both genders are in that hole.

BTW, "equity" is a new Democrat buzz word for ignoring merit based decisions.  It is a totally bad idea.  It is the equivalent of  the NFL and NBA imposing racial and gender quotas on the players instead of going for the most talented players available.  Equity is a sure way to create a losing team.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014.
