Judge in Flynn case decides he needs a lawyer

Judge hires high-powered D.C. attorney to defend actions in Flynn case

U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan has retained Beth Wilkinson to argue his reasons for investigating the appropriateness of dismissing the case against President Trump’s former national security adviser.
The Appeals Court has issued what is in effect a show cause order, telling the judge to explain why he is not following the law and the rules and dismissing the case.  Wilkinson will have a tough task defending Sullivan's actions.
