Obama to join anti energy left in war on middle class with Keystone veto

NY Times:

Expected Veto on Keystone Opens New Era for Obama

President Obama’s likely veto of the Keystone XL oil pipeline bill this week, the third and most significant one of his six years in office, would likely be followed by several others.
My headline may seem unfair to some but it is a pretty good imitation of how Democrats argue political issues.  The veto will kill over 42,000 jobs that don't cost the government any money because they were to be paid by a Canadian company.   That makes the veto all the more ridiculous.  In Obama's world he would rather raise taxes on Americans to do short term projects than except a long term investment that not only creates jobs but increases US energy security.  It would be one of the most economically nonsensical acts by and American President in history.
