The problem with a fantasy foreign policy?
The firing of the North Korean missile demonstrates the impotence of the multilateral approach to dealing with a despot like the Kim. Obama made a mistake by putting his cards on the UN to respond to the missile test. I'm not sure that Gingrich's suggestion of preemption would have been supported either.
The bottom line is North Korea has gained little if anything from its shot, and it has one less missile to fire.
