One of the things I dislike about the media suckup to Democrats
From the NY Times:
While I have nothing against Michelle Obama or the clothes she wears, I find this kind of suck up story really offensive. It is also demeaning to Mrs. Obama who is by all accounts an accomplished professional woman and a good mom. Here we have the NY Times treating her like a fashion mogul.
In these hard times, rather than the newspaper of record pimping for the fashion industry, why aren't they talking about more frugal means of dressing. Would the media still be trying to denigrate Sarah Palin and her wardrobe expense if she won election, or would they being talking about her boost for the fashion industry. She certainly boosted the market for her eye glasses.
My guess is that we would not see a story like this about Palin whose is a very attractive woman who also looks good in cheap clothes.
