Heineken and Fitna

Heineken is a Dutch company that may be the largest beer exporter in the world. It is a good bet that little of it is exported in any quantity to the Muslim world. The US is probably one of its major markets and it owns breweries here and probably Mexico.

The forces of intolerance that want to prosecute Wilder because of Fitna are the same forces that would like to shut down businesses like Heineken. It would seem to be in the company's interest to resist the slippery slope of intolerance that is being forced on the Dutch by its court.

While most companies rightfully resist involvement in political disputes, I think this situation may be an exception. Heineken has no Muslim business to lose and it can gain some good will from freedom loving people if it stood up against the intolerance.
