The battle flag war

So Hillary bravely goes after the Confederate flag in South Carolina. She probably did not expose herself to losing any votes she already had.

The fact is that both sides are being silly in this dispute. This is a fight over the battle flag of a failed rebellion that ended over 140 years ago. Why either side thinks this symbol of a failed rebellion is important suggest that both are missing the symbolism and framing the debate on other issues having nothing to do with what the flag represents.

This, like my position on abortion should be enough to make all sides unhappy with me.

Gateway Pundit notes that the Clintons never opposed Confederate Flag Day while Bill was governor of Arkansas.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare
