Majority of Americans think media coverage of war is inaccurate

Gallop:

A majority of Americans -- 56% -- believe that the news media's coverage of the situation in Iraq is generally inaccurate. About 4 out of 10 Americans agree that the news media's coverage of the Iraq war is accurate.

...
Of those who thought the coverage was in accurate, 61 percent said it was too negative. This link is to a bar chart on the results. I think if they took a poll of US servicemen in Iraq, or just returning from Iraq the percentage who thought the media was both in accurate and too negative would be significantly higher.

This poll also suggest that President Bush may have more support for doing something to improve the situation in Iraq than the media would lead you to believe.
