Studies do not support electric vehicles

The American Economic Review summed it up nicely:

The comparison between a gasoline vehicle and an electric one is really a comparison between burning gasoline or a mix of coal and natural gas to move the vehicle.

... 

This is more evidence that Big Green is not the answer to potential climate problems.  The study also found that when you factor in mechanical issues the EV cost more to keep them running.
