The Chicago way

Image
Eric Daugherty @EricLDaugh · 1h NOW: JD Vance absolutely decimates Gov. JB Pritzker "Governor Pritzker will talk a lot about how bad Donald Trump is, about how bad I am, and about how bad the administration is. He is the governor of a state that where its biggest city has murder rates that rival the most violent places in the THIRD WORLD!"  DC Daily Journal: Politics can be a dangerous game. But it should never cost you your life. And now the FBI uncovered an assassination plot that left one Republican shellshocked. Shihab served as a gunrunner for al Qaeda during the Iraq War. According to federal prosecution records, he carried weaponry from Syria into Iraq and smuggled explosive-packed vehicles that were arranged as traps a...

The news rippled across financial markets, with the yen and gold advancing as stocks declined. “It seems today’s spike is just a knee-jerk reaction to the missile strike,” said Thomas Pugh, a commodities economist at Capital Economics. “Syria produces little oil itself so the spike probably reflects the risk of increased tensions between the U.S. and Russia or Iran.” Oil had struggled to extend a rally beyond $51 a barrel as concern over surging U.S. supplies countered optimism around a possible extension to production cuts led by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. The strike aga...
