Jan. 6 committee faces a thorny challenge: Convincing the public to care

I admit to being one of those who think the committee and many on the left are exaggerating the event. So far, I am not aware that any of those arrested have been charged with insurrection.  In terms of violent attacks, it does look like the Capitol Police did kill at least two of the protesters in an overreaction to the riot. Others died from causes not directly tied to violence.  No one attempted to establish a replacement to Congress or the US government.  

To an outsider, it looks like many on the committee want to thwart democracy by trying to keep Donald Trump from running for President again.  That appears to be the primary objective of many on the committee and Democrats, in general, who don't think they can beat him in 2024.  For a party that calls itself "Democrats" they act like they fear democracy.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ... Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
