Most Hispanics in America are not illegal aliens and they are not hiding from ICE. Many of them work for the Border Patrol and ICE
Stacy Torres:
I grew up in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas which has long had a majority of Hispanics. Many of them have ancestors from before Texas was independent from Mexico. It should also be noted that Hispanics were an important part of the Texas revolution and many communities are named for Hispanic heroes of the revolution. ICE is not targeting Hispanics who are American citizens.
Hiding from ICE, Hispanic Americans are strangers in our own landThose who have the most to fear from ICE are alien criminals who have been convicted of serious crimes. Those are ICE's main targets for deportation.
