Media tries to ignore the Stephan Halper spy gate affair against the Trump campaign

NY Times:

New Book Gives Voice to Trump’s Claims of a Vast Conspiracy Against Him

In the book “Trump’s Enemies,” by Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie, President Trump repeats his unfounded assertion that President Barack Obama was complicit in spying against him.
The Obama administration through its use of the FBI, DOJ, and Defense intelligence officials was actively spying on the Trump campaign.  They also used foreign assets which would be exposed if Trump declassified material on the attempts.  Why the Times would suggest that Obama was not complicit in allowing that travesty suggest a partisan bias.  The assertion that Trump's statement is unfounded is, in fact, unfounded.

The Obama administration paid Halper handsomely for his efforts using a defense department funding mechanism.  The whistleblower who reported the effort was fired for disclosing it and is suing the government.

The FISA warrants based on the discredited and unverified dossier were a backdoor attempt to spy on the Trump campaign through any contacts it might have with Carter Page, the subject of the warrant.  The FBI had earlier failed to get warrants on others associated with the campaign when the court rejecte4d their spying attempt.
