Democrats' anti female move against prosecutor that will question witnesses at hearing

Republicans announced Tuesday they have hired a female lawyer to question Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, during Thursday’s major hearing — a move that Ms. Blasey Ford objects to.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said it’s “not uncommon” for senators to rely on professional staffers to lead questioning at hearings, and pointed to the Watergate investigation as precedent.

Mr. McConnell also said the chamber will quickly move to vote after the hearing is over.

“I’m confident we’re going to win, confident he will be confirmed in the very near future,” Mr. McConnell said.

He and fellow Republicans said they’ve crafted a “fair” process for both Judge Kavanaugh and Ms. Blasey Ford, who says she was sexually assaulted during a high school party in the early 1980s, and has fingered Judge Kavanaugh as the culprit.

Democrats and the political operatives who have been working with Ford hoped to play on Democrat voters hostility to white male Senators in hopes that their questions would give Democrats a chance to accused them of beating up on a fragile woman.  By using a prosecutor who specializes in sexual assault cases they lose that political cudgel they hoped to use.  It is just another bad faith argument by Democrats.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014.
